Smile Patience is virtue

Hmmm... this update is ridiculous. I looked forward to this a few weeks ago, but when they put a price tag on almost everything, I felt as if the period of waiting was a waste. However, I do admire the new contents. I believe they are just a bit overpriced. There is an old saying, Patience is virtue. I believe I will stick to this motto until Anet change their mind on these prices. I have waited for almost 4 years for this update, it doesn't hurt to wait another 1 year right? My point is if we all have the patience to wait, I'm 99.9% positive that Anet will change.

What do you think? patience conquer all?

P.S.: I'm not trying to boycott the update, I want to hear people's opinions.

I imagine there will be some sort of free makeover change, name and gender will probably require payment forever though. I guess I'll have to wait until GW2 to change my name and what I look like.

All of you shouldn't get your hopes up. If I was Anet and I was racking up cash from people dumb enough to choose a hairstyle or face that they realize they didn't like after 4 years and willing to actually pay for it then I would never allow them to pay in in-game gold

Either they'll make enough money from the bumrush of all the kids begging mommy for her credit card to cover their so-called "overhead" and drop the price down, or they'll notice they weren't getting nearly as much income as they thought they would, because polling Guru members isn't exactly the most accurate determinant of the playerbase.

People came to GW for a reason: buy it, play it, that's it. Extra fees here, extra fees there, pay for this, pay for that, zomg i'm too lazy to unlock all skills and pets so let's buy an unlock pack blah blah blah. If they wanted that, they'd go play WoW. Period.

missing the point, the makeover allows you to make a mixture of all three games into one char. allowing for combos never before made. Personally I got it and made some great changes with it. If you don't like it or want it why does it bother you, @op wait all you want if you want it you will just buy it.

I too was awaiting this update for ages. And i feel it is way overpriced for everything. I know we don't have to pay monthly unlike other MMOs but c'mon...Paying for every bit of the new update is pretty lame. I won't be buying anything, except maybe a new account for storage chars, as it turns out cheaper than buying a storage pane.

Once upon a time on April 1st 2008 there was a free extreme makeover change on everybody for just one day.

ah, somethings i expected a price tag for it, and all in all, some the prices are cheap. the only one that did not make sense was the Name Change. $15 to change your characters name? that doesnt make any sense, im sorry but if i feel so compelled to change my characters name, ill just delete it and re-create another character rather than pay $15. A-net should've thought that one out a bit more.

But i do love the update, the Zaishen Daily quests was an excellent idea, to some extent. The only thing i fear about it is the ability to purchase tomes and elite tomes. Either the price of tomes is going to go up or they are going to go down. My feeling is the price is going to go down due to the fact that its easier access.

Best thing out of the update that ive seen so far...

It's to act as a deterrent. Those who [b]really[/i] want a different name can pay to do so, but it will prevent large numbers of people from doing it at a whim - or if they do, giving ArenaNet money.

If it was free people would be making changes daily if not hourly at least this allows you to correct something you regret.

Price is ok since name change is something you are likely to do once if at all, Male Female swap ditto.

Face hair size change price is also fair since it is for more than one character.

Got my free storage and bags just need to find the traveller and i'm all set.

I wish everyone would quit QQ'ong over the fact that they actually put a price on extra tabs and makeovers like whiny spoiled brats that feel entitled to everything on a silver platter.

If you don't want to pay for those updates you still got alot of free ones. Want me to point them out?

-Zaishen quests
-Zaishen coins
-Nicholas the Traveler
-the Zaishen menagerie
-The equipment bag

But if you want to go ahead and cry about how you can't play barbie dress up and name your character ultimate loser then fine I won't be joining you.

I also don't think that the storage update is too expensive. lets do the math $10/20 slots= $0.50 per slot, not bad IMO and will definitely be buying up all the panes I can because I support ANET %100. I have been with the game since 2006 and have really loved what they have done so far.

This is just my angry rant please diregard.

I think the purpose is rather redundant here when you counter a full character which uses more spaces + the equipment slots once you have all the bags updated and it somewhat defeats the purpose of character makeover aside from mixing and matching. That's a rather painful double-whammy to compare to.

Sounds like a rip to me.
I remember getting the Nightfall Bonus Pack for $5 at Ebgames. That had an extra char slot, trial account and unique weapons. Im not saying Anet should make everything free, I just think they should price it accordingly.
